Our campus is strategically located in Kyotanabe City which is around 30 minutes away from three major locations; Kyoto City, The Osaka-Kobe Metropolitan Area, and Nara City.

Train Guide

Here is a list of approximate time to KIU from several station locations.

By Kintetsu: 

25 minutes from Kyoto Station. 
20 minutes from Kintetsu Nara Station 

By JR: 

40 minutes from Kyobashi Station
50 minutes from Osaka (Umeda) Station
95 minutes from Kansai-Airport Station

Road Map

By Foot:

• From the train station, follow the main road through town going east (away from downtown and toward the Kizu River).
• Pass Tanabe High School and cross over the stream called the Bouga River.
• Before you reach Bairyo Junior High School, there will be a sign for KIU on the left.
• Turn right and follow the road to KIU.

10 minutes from Kintetsu "Shintanabe" Station. 
15 minutes from JR "Kyotanabe" Station.

By Car:

From Keinawa Expressway's Tanabe Nishi interchange, it takes 5 minutes by car...

• Follow Route 307 heading east toward the Kizu River.
• Look for the KIU sign on the left side.
• Turn left (north) about 50 meters after the sign.
  (The road is 300m before the Yamashiro Bridge.)
• Follow the road north to KIU. 

From Route 24...

• Turn west and cross over the Yamashiro Bbridge heading toward Kyotanabe.
• Stay on Route 307 for 300m (passed Osaka Siren) .
• On the fourth intersection from the bridge, turn right (north).
  (If you miss the intersection, there will be a sign on the right telling you to turn around.)
• Follow the road north to KIU.
