Visa Procedures

Students coming to study short-term are eligible for a “pre-college visa”.  The visa processing time is typically three (3) months so please plan accordingly.  The visa is renewable annually (up to two years).  For questions or further information on student visa application procedures, please contact Mr. Shigeru Homma, University Registrar.

Housing

KIU is conveniently located in the heart of a university housing area serving several large local universities. There are many student apartments available within walking and cycling distance of KIU, shopping areas and mass transit systems.

Limited home-stay housing with local Japanese families is also available to those wishing to get a taste of Japanese home life.
