Fun Activities

Based on the motto "Learning while having fun," KIU Academy provides a wide range of excursions and activities. The following are a few examples:

Through classes where students are actually able to see and experience the outdoors for themselves, students are able to learn about cooperation and building friendships while enjoying interaction with nature.

Recess/ Lunch Time

When classes end, the students rush outside to play. Boy or girl, Japanese or non-Japanese --- no one cares, as they enjoy sports and other activities together. At lunchtime, the students are able to have fun sharing with their friends while eating together. After lunch, they are free to spend time with friends or go outside to play sports.

After School

After-school hours are also an important part of student life at KIU Academy. After school, many students choose to stay and work on homework together, seek assistance from teachers, use the computer labs, participate in sports practices, or just hang out. Because many of our students commute long distances, after school is time to further relationships with other students, teachers, and staff.
