News and Events: 2003

KIU has been granted accreditation by the Kyoto prefectural government. Construction of the new building has also been completed!

As of April 2003, KIU has been classified as a "Kakushu-gakkou" school in the miscellaneous category, by the Kyoto prefectural government. The accreditation celebration and an opening ceremony for the new university and high school building was held on June 19, 2003. Many people, including our graduates, came to celebrate on that day.

Seminars

Occasionally, KIU offers seminars to the general public (working people, housewives, etc.) and students. Starting 4 years ago, most of our seminars have been offered in a bilingual format so that anyone who speaks Japanese or English can benefit from them. KIU's seminars do not provide merely an enjoyable time of passive learning; rather, many seminars are workshops that call for participation from the attendees. Our seminars, therefore, provide the added attraction of international cultural exchange.

For more information about KIU seminars, please contact our office.
