Recognition and AccreditationRecognitionIn April 2003, KIU as an organization was recognized as a non-profit school "Kakushu-gakkou" by the Kyoto prefectural government. As for KIU Academy, this recognition applies to the High School. 
AccreditationIn March 2011, KIU Academy was granted accreditation with Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), an organization whose accreditation is recognized in Japan.
